Thadra Stanton

Biography

Thadra Palmer Stanton graduated from Florida State University's Department of Anthropology with BA in Anthropology in 1997 and an MA in Anthropology in 2011. She has excavated in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, US Virgin Islands and in Tuscany, Italy. She has conducted archaeological excavations underwater as well as on land. Her primary research interest is prehistoric lithics. Thadra has worked for the Florida Division of Historical Resources and the Tallahassee Trust for Historic Preservation. She is married to Bill Stanton and they have two daughters. Currently, she works at the National Park Service's Southeast Archeological Center in Tallahassee as an archaeologist.
