Geoprobe applications are particularly useful for
defining soil horizons and identifying buried deposits, some dating to pre-Clovis and Clovis
levels. Hard compact soils are more difficult to probe but with experience excellent samples
can be extracted. Soils were sampled to bedrock in this early man site in Central Texas.
